Karakteristik Karkas Ayam Broiler Fase Finisher yang Diberi Ekstrak Daun Jambu Mete (Anacardium occidentale Linn.) di dalam Air Minum

Daun Jambu mete (Anacardium occidentale Linn) merupakan salah satu tumbuhan yang berpotensi menjadi ramuan herbal disebabkan beberapa senyawa penting diantaranya mengandung asam anakardiol, elagat, flavonoid, kardol, tanin-galat, fenol, dan metil kardol. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui pengaruh pencampuran ekstrak daun jambu (EDJM) di dalam air minum terhadap karakteristik karkas ayam broiler meliputi bobot badan akhir, karkas, persentase lemak abdominal abdominal. Total jumlah digunakan adalah 80 ekor dilakukan pengacakan dengan 5 perlakuan 4 ulangan serta setiap terdiri dari ayam. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) P0 (0% EDJM/L minum), P1 (5% P2 (90% + 10% EDJM), P3 (85% 15% EDJM) P4 (80% 20% EDJM). Parameter diukur Hasil menunjukkan bahwa secara signifikan (P<0,05) menurun pemberian EDJM hingga kadar 20%. Namun demikian, tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>,05) karkas.
